Tim Holtz 23" x 14" Glass Media Mat, Right Handed

I really do love this media mat. No more replacing the self-healing type mats after I've made a mess of them with one kind of paint or another that won't come off. This mat cleans so beautifully. Even if paint dries. Although I was a bit squeamish the first time it is possible to cut directly on this glass mat as well. I don't do it often though. Usually only for single cuts, not those repeated cuts where I''m cutting for an hour. I still treat the glass mat like it's glass. That is, very well. I do have a short story to tell as well. My original mat didn't come from Tonic but when I had a problem with my original one I knew the original seller was not going to understand the issue so I reached out to Tonic for understanding. The issue was about the sticky mat that goes on the side and is removable. Well I hadn't removed mine for the 1st few months that I had the glass mat. Then when I did try to remove it ... well it came off in pieces and left the sticky part on the glass. Leaving me with a mess to clean off the glass. This took me more than an hour to scrape off the glass. Tonic was very understanding. I thought they were going to send me a new sticky mat but they sent me a whole new glass media mat, no questions asked. That's what I call service. Tonic has my business in the future.

I enjoy using my glass mat so much I ordered a second one for my office. It cleans up so easy. It makes measuring and lining up quicker without having to bring out another mat. Every crafter should have one (maybe two 😉).

23” width of working space is more practical & functional to me than at 12-14”. I would like a few more inches of width. Why not a five star is because it is not magnetic. At some point, they probably will be and we will all have to buy new ones. I have two one recent purchase and the other purchased when they first rolled out I’ve never had any issues with uneven or wobbling. I treated as my desktop. In fact my newest one I had on my work desk but I decided I needed it more for crafting friends but now I miss it on my desk. After they come out with an affordable, magnetic one someday in the future (hint hint) it’s gonna end up on my desk.
