Tim Holtz Deckle Edge Paper Trimmer

This small Tim Holtz deckle trimmer is really nice. I have dies that cut these type of edges, but it's so much nicer and convenient to have the trimmer
close by to cut any size cards.

Good paper cutter

This works very well, if you carefully align the paper and press down hard on the plastic shield. Otherwise the blades don't mesh. So it is fussy. It will cut two pieces of mixed media paper at once, more than that it just chews up the paper.

I've had this Tim Holtz Deckle Edge Paper Trimmer in my wish list for some time. Glad I bought it! It yields the perfect deckle edge to my papers.

I love being able to cut an entire side of my card layer, without having to use scissors. It is much faster, easier and straighter.

I waited a while before I purchased this trimmer. It was the perfect addition to my stash. I was already familiar with the other trimmer in the collection so using it was simple. I was just looking for something to kick my boring edges (inside and out) up a bit. So much easier and more precise than standard decorative scissors.

I love the edging I get from this trimmer on my cards. Such a fun twist especially when adding layers of card stock.

I almost canceled this order due to the courier method to ship this product. It took over 2 weeks to receive it. I was given 3 different delivery dates and none of them were met. The trimmer seemed to be delivered by foot from California to Illinois. If you are not in a hurry or need within a month, order from Tonic Studios. There was no reason for shipping to take as long as it did from FedEx. I only have had a chance to use the trimmer once because I just received it a few days ago.

I made 700 cuts on 110lb cotton stock- a hefty paper, and it held up for every one. I had a back up plan to hand tear edges but didn’t need to. I was concerned because the price was low-ish as far as paper cutters go, but it held up. It’s pretty light weight and by the end, the guillotine hinge had started to loosen up, but by all accounts it was completely worth it.

I was finally able to order this after the deckle was out of stock for so long! Great addition to the craft room - so quick and easy to give paper a “natural” torn look with out having to do it manually!!! If you are the paper crafter who enjoys doing extras for cards - this is a must have item and I assure you it won’t be a “dust collector.”

I have had other 'deckle' blades that just never cut straight. This deckle cutter is awesome and cuts beautifully every time. Love it!

I was so excited to get it because Angela Kerr raved about it, however, it doesn't cut the paper cleanly and you have to chop at it several times or tear off straggled bits. The paper looks sawed rather than deckled. So, I have not been too impressed. It either needs sharper blades or the blades need some kind of adjustment to tighten them up so the paper is cut the first time.

I bought the trimmer to deckle the edges of my photo copies of old black and white photos for my heritage album. The part with the deepest cuts leaves fringes which I don't want for photos. I will probably use it for just regular cardstock but not what I was looking for.

One of the rubber feet is constantly falling out. Found it laying in the box when I opened it. First time I recall having a problem with a Tim Holtz product and this one is a manufacturer issue. If anyone purchases this cutter they need to be aware of this potential problem. Thankful to have the opportunity to express my concerns and issue. When I have an opportunity at a show I’ll make Tim aware of the manufacturing issue. Sincerely, Charlotte

I love every Tim Holtz product! The deckle edge trimmer is no different. This tool is a great addition to my craft room. I keep it close at hand, because I use it constantly!

This trimmer is very loud when it cuts, and to be honest the deckle is not as pronounce as I was hoping for. The sharpness of the blade is not as good. The back end does not always cut clean.
The hype was just that- hype.

I wasn’t that impressed with how it cut. I will have play some more with it some more to see what it can do but it wasn’t impressive with plain paper. I waited all year for this too :(
