Tim Holtz 12.25" Maxi Guillotine Paper Cutter

It cuts well but I expected it to be a heavier item not light plastic as it has a large blade. Usually Tim holtz ‘s products are quality all around.

I live the size but a small piece of metal is bent up at the top where the blade starts to cut and doesn’t allow the boade to come down unless you move the handle to the right causing uneven cut.

Packing and assembly were good, it's sharp out of the box.

It cuts great, but when you extend the arm there is a short amount of space that doesn't have any markings to measure. It's not a big deal until you need a measurement in that space. When I called, I was told to get a ruler, but I shouldn't have to do that, especially when I paid as much as I did for it.

I fully restocked my tools closet during the last big sale. I’m so very happy with everything I purchased. Scissors, multiple sizes of trimmers, craft blades, etc. and I purchased a few extra tools for Christmas gifts for my crafty sister. Tonic tools are amazing and I recommend them all the time.

I have 8.5”guillotine and love how it cuts through cardboard, multiple sheets of cardstock and can easily trim tiny bits (1/8” or less) off without shredding or tearing. I needed a larger guillotine for longer lengths of paper. I had an old heavy guillotine, but there was no finger guard and it was too big to keep out on workspace. This guillotine is more compact but has an arm that can be added for larger width plus weighs about 1/10 of the old guillotine. When this went on sale, I knew this was a must have purchase.

Love this paper trimmer! Nice size and clean cuts!

I haven’t used it a lot, but when do use it, it cut smoothly, I’m liking the feel of using it instead of using a trimmer where you have constantly replace the blades.

i’ve had the smaller version for awhile now and love it, so it was time to finally get the bigger version. and it works just as well!

Had to wait for this product on back order, but it was worth the wait! They notified me by email when it came back in. Well built, user friendly, and sharp.

I already had a paper trimmer and nice Fiskars model, so I saw no reason to get a guillotine cutter...until I saw this puppy in action. Oh my, it can cut the smallest cuts I've ever almost not been able to see! Very sharp and a very welcome addition to my crafting supplies. Someone give me something to cut!

A fabulous cutter! It cuts tiny narrow strips as easily as wide pieces. I will be getting the 8.5 inch cutter as soon as I find it on sale.

Four stars cause i am mostly happy with this trimmer! There are a couple of details that would've made it SOOOO much better! Firstly, the ruler in the center of the platform only has lines every quarter inch! 1/8 and 1/16 lines would be very very very helpful for lining up accurately. But my biggest disappointment is that the lip at the top that you line your paper up with is about 3/8" tall which means that the ruler is no where near your paper for lining up. You just have to estimate instead of being accurate. I am thinking of looking online to see if i can find a self adhesive ruler to stick on to the vertical surface so that i can line up the paper accurately. This could also be solved by having the ruler under where the paper goes as well. Accuracy is everything in good cardmaking!! Other than that - it cuts like a dream. Very sharp and very smooth. Easy to use.

I'm very pleased with the trimmer. At first the blade seemed to catch on the side of the trimmer. I discovered that one of the screws on the side of the blade was what was catching. I unscrewed the screw and screwed it back in and no more catching.

Best paper cutter I own. I am giving the other 5 away as this is the most accurate and best.

Tim Holtz - Maxi Guillotine
This is a must have. Super sharp. Also has a clear plastic edge which when pressed, keeps the paper in place while cutting/no moving around! I found I can cut any length by removing the 2 easy screws which hold the plastic guard in place....of course its a bit challenging but this tool is the way to go for perfect cuts every time.
