Current Status of our US Warehouse

As you all know by now, on June 11 our U.S. fulfillment campus experienced a significant electrical surge following a power outage, resulting in a fire and extensive smoke damage to our main warehouse. Our teams continue to work closely with restoration experts to assess damage, protect inventory, and safely plan the next steps. While this work continues, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily pause fulfillment from our U.S. warehouse.

Shipping from the UK Warehouse Now Available

To ensure you can still access your papercraft supplies, we are re-enabling shipping from our UK warehouse to the US starting today (7th July)

Please note the key details of how this arrangement will operate:

• Trial Basis: This service is running on a trial basis to test the shipping implementation and rates with our provider. We may need to temporarily pause UK to US shipping at points while we evaluate the data and ensure goods are reaching customers safely, but we will provide updates regarding any pauses or adjustments.
• Telephone Number Requirement: Providing a telephone number is now a mandatory requirement at checkout. This information is strictly required by our shipping provider to dispatch your goods.
• Pricing Conversion: Products will be converted from the standard GBP (£) price to a USD ($) price based on the live market exchange rate provided by our website platform.
• VAT Removal: UK VAT will be automatically deducted from the standard listed price for all US orders.
• Duties and Tariffs: Applicable duties will be clearly displayed at checkout. All tariffs are pre-paid during the checkout process, ensuring you will not receive any unexpected customs fees upon delivery.
• Shipping Rates: Shipping costs will be calculated based on the total combined weight of the individual items in your order.

Tonic Craft Kit Subscribers

If you have an active craft kit subscription on the US website, we will be honouring your subscriber discount on the UK website. To ensure this works correctly, please make sure you log in to the UK website using the exact same email address you use for your subscription on the US website.

Gem Rewards

• Balance Import: Later this week, we will be importing your Gem balance from the US website to the UK website.
• Voucher Redemption: You will be able to use this balance to generate rewards vouchers as normal and spend them on the UK website.
• Future Earnings: Any Gems you earn on the UK website will remain on the UK website and will not be transferred back.
• US Website Reopening: When the US website reopens, we will deduct any Gems spent on the UK website from your US balance.

While ordering from our UK team is currently the only available option for shopping with Tonic Studios, please be assured that the closure of our US warehouse and website is strictly temporary. We are fully committed to bringing our US facilities back online in the future, and we hope this trial will establish a seamless shipping alternative from the UK in the interim.

FAQ

Q: Will stock of the missed launches (while the US website has been offline) be left in the US to purchase once the website is reopened?
A: Due to the length of time the US website is likely to remain closed, we are in the process of moving stock from the US warehouse to the UK to make it available for purchase as soon as possible. During this transfer period, it is possible products will go out of stock on the UK website as our stock is depleted, but will be restocked as soon as this delivery arrives.

Q: I can't see my kit subscription in my account on the UK website:
A: We haven't yet made a final decision on how upcoming kits will be handled. For the time being, we have just told the UK website that you have an active kit subscription so that your TCK discount is applied at checkout. To manage your kit subscription, you will need to access your account on the US website as normal.
