Mortise Boxes ALL DAY

I could make these & the Magnificent ones all day. These were a blast! It’s not a labor of love but it does require a little time. I strongly suggest adding the circular “connecting” tabs after the boxes are made. My first box was a wrestling match 😂. It was like squeezing a size 10 foot into an 8 shoe. Put the tabs on after 2 (at least) boxes are finished. Immediately put the second box inside the first. Give the paper time to form fit the second box, if that makes sense. Otherwise, it’ll be too tight. I also suggest cutting a lot of the smaller semi circles. Store and cut some from scrap paper. I like the side panels for the deep lid, even on a regular lid. It doesn’t bump up against the edge of the box frame, making it look worn.
